The mica tape for fire-resistant cable is made of high-quality phlogopite paper, synthetic mica paper or calcined mica paper as the base material, alkali-free glass fiber cloth or carbon-free polymer film (such as PE) as the single-sided or double-sided reinforcing material, bonded with silicone resin, baked, dried and slitted at high temperature. Mica tape is mainly used between the core and the outer skin of fire-resistant cables to play the function of fire-resistant insulation.
In the process of using refractory mica tape, the wrapping process is the most critical. The technician selects the appropriate width of mica tape, taping tension, angle and taping speed according to the size of the wire diameter. Generally, the length of each mica tape is 500m~2000m, and when a mica tape is wound, it will consume a certain amount of time for the user to replace the new mica tape, so in order to save the user's time, the tray came into being. The longest length of the tray can be up to 50,000 m (400 mm disc diameter and 400 mm height).
